Who is Noa Staal?
Photographer, violinist and marketeer. Different roles, all focused on the same goal: bringing stories to life.
My name is Noa Staal. I grew up in Groningen and have been playing the violin since the age of four. As a child, I was fascinated by the idea that music could tell a story without using words. That same curiosity for narrative and atmosphere still runs through everything I do.
My musical education began with private lessons from Josien Le Coultre. At the age of twelve, I continued my studies at the Prince Claus Conservatoire, where I studied with Ilona Sie Dhian Ho and Chris Duindam. During that time I also attended several masterclasses, including with Moshe Hammer, Robert Cekov and Lisa Jacobs. In 2020 I continued my studies at the Utrecht Conservatoire, where I completed my Bachelor of Music under the guidance of Chris Duindam.
I discovered photography in 2019, initially as a complement to my musical work, but it quickly developed into its own form of storytelling. Through my company Noa Staal Photography I capture people and moments that want to communicate something. I focus on classical music photography, personal branding and events. My style is intuitive, relaxed and sincere, always with an eye for atmosphere and authenticity.
Alongside my work as a photographer I remain active as a violinist, performing in ensembles and orchestras where I can express my love for collaboration and musical expression. I also work in marketing for creative and cultural organizations. I gained experience at HKU Feesten, Tribute Collective and Stichting BUI. Since 2024 I have been working as a Recruitment Marketeer at Humble Recruitment, focusing on the FMCG and logistics sector.
